As the new creative director for The Alexander McQueen House, Sara Burton, has clearly brought what Alexander “Lee” McQueen has done but definitely has put her own fuse to it. With the 1 year passing of Mcq’s death in February and with the scandal of John Galliano, fashion has lost 2 of the most inspirational people (FYI: Galliano is not dead but apparently in rehab). For John Galliano, no words can explain why the racist comments came out of his mouth and what issues lie within but I wont deny he’s an amazing and influential designer as Lee was.
The theatrics that went behind a McQueen show was always a show. Leaving people with a feeling of Peter-Pan-itis…never wanting to leave Never Never Land. I know that Fall 2011 has already been shown but this particular season, S2011, I luv.
